We are looking for an Activity Coordinator, who will support people in a care home setting, to join my client fantastic team at Norwich, Norfolk and ensure that people continue to take part in the activities that matter to them. Activities are a huge part of life for residents at my client care home and we make sure that the events we are planning are person-centred, aspirational and most of all, fun! We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Activities Coordinator to help keep activities at the heart of home and ultimately making home a great place to live. From arranging regular trips, to flower arranging and crafting with our residents, this is a truly rewarding and varied role. Overview: Salary £9.90 per hour Hours of Work 20hrs or 40hrs per week Shifts Flexible Area Norwich, Norfolk The Key Responsibilities Overall, your main objective will be to help develop a suitable programme of activities to meet our resident s needs, working closely with other members of staff to ensure residents are fulfilled, stimulated, and maintain a healthy mind as well as a healthy body. You will have a passion for the elderly, great communication skills, be full of enthusiasm, patience, and creativity. You will also have exceptional skills at building appropriate relationships and work well in a team. Identify the needs of residents through reading and contributing to individual life stories and care plans. Document participation, experience, and document activity information in residents' care plans. Support activities, events, and outings, encouraging relatives and visitors to be involved. Contribute to a balance of large group, small group, and individual activities. Assist with in-house amenities and the provision of services from organisations in the home. Assist with building links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries). To be involved in supporting marketing & fundraising initiatives. Develop and maintain positive relationships with all residents, family, visitors, and colleagues. Energetic, Creative & Artistic Have previous experience in organising daily activities & larger events for groups of people with a variety of needs and tastes.
