Job Title: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 Location: Hertfordshire with a global Sales patch Job Type: Permanent Hours & Days of work: Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600 Due to continued growth our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to expand their sales team. This large manufacturer of specialised, high quality, technical, flexible packaging for various applications. The successful candidate will thrive on identifying new sales opportunities and be able to work on their own initiative to achieve agreed sales targets. They will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by generating leads, managing and negotiating with clients, qualifying prospects and managing sales. We require a target driven professional, ideally with experience in the flexible packaging industry. Key Responsibilities of the Sales Representative will include Assume responsibility for some existing customer accounts Research and identify new business opportunities using sales engagement platforms Finding creative ways to get in touch with prospects Generate leads and cold call prospective customers, qualifying your prospects communications via phone calls, email and/or other methods (social media) Following up on emails to prospects Scheduling calls and meetings Develop relationships with customers/clients by using negotiation skills Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these Have a good understanding of the businesses products / services and be able to advise prospects about them Plan sales campaigns and creating sales pipelines Requirements Proven track record in creating new business opportunities, preferably in the flexible packaging industry. Experience of coping well under pressure and working to tight deadlines to achieve KPI/Targets Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, competent with computers and Microsoft packages Perform duties with the highest level of professionalism The candidate should be analytical, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Must be an excellent team player with good interpersonal skills Deliver exceptional customer service Experience of overcoming challenges when met with an obstacle, being able to create a solution Full driving licence
