The Role You will be working within a customer facing project team and will implement, configure and support primarily Microsoft SQL databases. The project will transition the existing systems into support. The new systems will provide network management, service management and business applications. The Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, configuration and support of the databases to meet the requirements of the applications. What you'll do: Main delivery of the role is to assure and manage the SQL database stack in environments from Development through to Production, undertaking administration management duties such as: Administers databases within an operational environment Performance metrics, future growth and requirements Database maintenance and patching routines through controlled environments Performance Tuning experience - ability to monitor, identify and offer solutions to performance related issues - hardware/software and application related Otimisation strategies and implementation Key Requirements: In depth experience of configuring and supporting Microsoft SQL databases in a highly available environment A strong foundation in SQL development techniques Data analysis background Strong technical understanding Excellent communication skills What We Offer: A career at Telent can span sectors, roles, technologies and clients giving you the opportunity to develop, learn new skills and make an impact.
