Director of Medical Oncology & Hematology Opportunity - Knoxville, TN (Where The Tennessee River Meets The Great Smoky Mountains) Thompson Oncology Group Thompson Oncology Group is seeking a Medical Director to lead its growing team of medical oncologists/hematologists and advanced practice providers. As a member of the Covenant Health system, Thompson Oncology Group and the associated Thompson Cancer Survival Center are the largest providers of cancer care in East Tennessee, with eight locations throughout the region.
About this Position The Medical Director will be responsible for the overall clinical oversight for the group and medical oncology program in collaboration with the TOG leadership team. This will include identifying, setting, and measuring group/program goals, ensuring patient safety and quality of care, meeting patient experience targets, management of physicians and advanced practice providers, support for clinical research development, serving as group/program clinical liaison internally and externally, and program development. - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Candidates must be board-certified in medical oncology and hematology

and serves as the medical oncology group for the Thompson Cancer Survival Center medical oncology program. The group currently is made up of 25 Providers (10 Medical Oncologists/ Hematologists, 3 GYN Oncologists, and 12 Advanced Practice Providers) covering eight locations with over 50,000 patient visits annually.
