Fundraising Officer

The main responsibilities will be allocated by the Fundraising Manager and will include some evening and weekend work. You will be responsible for all aspects of the fundraising administration, managing small scale community events, raising awareness of the organisation locally, putting the content together for our website, social media pages and newsletters (currently 3 times per year) as well as making sure our supporters have a high quality experience. The Fundraising Manager will guide your work, but you will prioritise and manage your own workload, working independently as well as part of a team. You ll be creative, use your initiative and be an excellent problem solver. It is essential that you have strong administration and IT skills, especially with Microsoft Excel. You will also need a full driving licence and have your own vehicle. The post is an ideal role for you to develop your fundraising skills and knowledge. Whilst fundraising experience would be an advantage, it is not essential as there will be plenty of opportunities to learn on the job and through extra training if you have transferrable skills.
