This is a great opportunity for an young and ambitious Public Health Design Engineer to work within a renowned consultancy, working on large scale projects. You should have a minimum of 2 years experience in designing Public Health Services and have the ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active manner. Key Responsibilities To undertake the design for all Public Health Services within the Building Services Sector (domestic cold water, above ground drainage and sprinklers etc.) Preparation of design calculations on industry standard software Preparation of technical specifications and schematics Design directly into 3D Revit software Site surveys and inspections Monitor site works Report writing Maintaining records and archives to company standards Checking design calculations, drawings and specifications prepared by others on a variety of buildings within different sectors Manage own workload Coordination between M&E disciplines across multi discipline team Ensure the Public Health design quality is maintained Ensure delivery to budget Input to and maintain set budgets for implementation of design elements Raise RFI s during the design development Review the development of established standard details and specifications Manage production of standard Public Health details/specifications Resource management across the Public Health package Technical responsibility for quality associated with mechanical deliverables Review of all Public Health submissions Ensure consistency of approach across package Skills & Experience Essential Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience within a similar role Minimum BEng or equivalent in Public Health / Mechanical Engineering or related subject/suitable equivalent experience Significant experience in the production of the Public Health design across all RIBA Stages 0 to 7 Experience in working for MEP Consultants OR MEP Contractors Good level of computer literacy in Windows, Hevacomp, Amtech, IES, NES and Microsoft packages A confident ability to design directly into 3D Revit software Wider knowledge of other disciplines is highly desirable Capable of accurate work under pressure and able to work on several projects simultaneously Able to understand and express technical concepts in written and verbal language Able to innovate new solutions as well as applying existing solutions to problems Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential
