We are seeking an experienced TIG welder for our client based in Diss. This is a full-time permanent role with working hours of 07::30, Monday Friday. The pay rate offered is initially £13.50 per hour with the possibility of earning a quarterly productivity bonus (on successful completion of the probationary period). We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic person ideally, with previous experience within a manufacturing environment. The Company Is a UK sales and manufacturing company operating within the construction industry and home improvement sector. Established 25 years ago the company enjoy a multimillion-pound turnover with representation in the UK, across Europe, Ireland and the US. The Job Reporting directly to the Welding Cell Leader, you will be instrumental in producing finished rooflights to company schedules and drawings whilst maintaining excellent housekeeping and following the company s ISO (Apply online only) quality policy. Responsibilities will include: Produce fabrications and welded frames using company engineering drawings and standard schedules from stock materials. These are primarily aluminium extrusion, angle and box sections Ability to use company equipment, saws, CNC press brake, guillotine, sheet metal equipment etc. Finish welded assembly or individual piece parts by fettling process Meet the weekly targets set for the assembly of units as specified in workload documentation Identify and expedite any missing components ensuring their availability to meet the build schedule completion/ delivery date or provide feedback where the date cannot be achieved, rescheduling the unit assembly to meet any late deliveries as per the supervisors instructions Liaise with Design Engineers/ Supervisor to ensure that modifications or amendments are completed Ensure the department maintains a high level of quality while working to company standards and H&S requirements Assist with training new staff members and personnel assessments Required Skills and Experience Must be able to use hand tools The ability to use both MIG and TIG welding equipment A formal training certificate is highly desirable Able to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent time management skills Be able to work on own initiative This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and busy team with an ambitious manufacturing company.
